I started an internet search as we desperately needed to secure equity release. Bower just stood out to me for some reason and I was immediately impressed in the way my enquiry was dealt with. An appointment was made for Andrew Card to come to discuss our situation.

Very impressed with Andrew right from the get go. He knew his stuff, made no promises that he couldn’t keep, went away to research what would be best for us and came back with the offer from Pure retirement. A couple niggles got in the way but Andrew sorted everything for us with a minimum of fuss. It’s a shame we can only do this once as I loved doing business with Bower and Andrew Card. Whilst I have voted for Bower since 2011, I had not personally been a beneficiary of the service until now.

I have been incredibly impressed by the Bower team coordinating the efforts of the different parties involved, all of whom have been exemplary.

From Neil’s initial visit explaining all the ramifications of equity release which put Jane’s mind at rest to the transfer of funds into a new joint account it took only 27 working days.

The lawyers, their agent who came from Northampton and the surveyor who submitted his valuation less than five hours after his visit all ensured the smoothest transaction that I can recall. “Thank you” seems rather inadequate but I congratulate all concerned.

I spoke to a few providers and Lisa stood out to me as a no nonsense straightforward person. As an older female I found many providers very condescending. Not once did I feel I was being talked down to. Lisa’s experience showed through as we went through the process together. From contact I had with others in the team I felt that the company had the same ethic.

The recommended legal team showed the same ethics of giving the correct information and following through in a timely manner as well. I had a challenging dead line and this was met and felt no bother even if it had been for the team.
